Yes, ONLY non-shedding dog breeds that weigh less than 20 pounds are allowed. Service dogs are permitted, but identification or proof of service must be presented at the time of your rental. If you bring a dog on the boat that sheds, we charge a $50 cleaning fee to remove dog hair from the boat.

Yes, we do allow overnight rentals at Roscoe & Hooch. However, we need location and dock approvals in place. We rent out of Black Oak Marina in Jefferson City, TN.

Yes. Unlike with other boat rental companies, you don’t need to go to the trouble of bringing your own life vests/jackets. At Roscoe & Hooch, we provide them to you free of charge, for both adults and kids, in order to keep you safe and legal. 

It’s mandatory for all children under 12 to wear a life jacket and be under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian while using any of our watercraft.

Yes. All our rental boats, including our pontoon and tritoons, are equipped with simple first-aid kits on board.

No, the cost of fuel is not included in your rental fee. All our boats come with a full tank of gas. Once you bring them back, our dockhands will measure the amount used up. When you check out, the office will charge you or the card on file for the amount of fuel you’ve used.

No, we don’t have coolers on board our rental boats. However, you can certainly bring your own.

Yes, there is plenty of storage space available under the seats on our pontoons and tritoons. Please be aware that no cooking equipment, including grills, or fire of any kind, is allowed on our boats.

Yes, all boats at Roscoe & Hooch, including our pontoons and tritoons, come with a complimentary bimini shade that covers half the boat. Some of our other amenities include premium sound systems and working radios to make your day that much more enjoyable.

Yes. You can watch this Power Boat Safety Training video for rental boaters provided by the U.S. Coast Guard. Once you’ve watched the video and signed off to say you’ve read and understood all the instructions, you’re all set to operate our rental boats and jet skis.

Yes, any person 13 years or older who intends to fish while aboard our rental boats will need a valid freshwater Tennessee fishing license. Be mindful of Tennessee fishing regulations and limitations for the Cherokee Reservoir to ensure your fishing trip goes smoothly.

No, a boating license is not necessary to operate a boat from Roscoe & Hooch. To rent a motorized boat, you must be 18 years or older, hold a valid driver’s license, and watch an instructional video

Once you’ve watched the video, simply sign off to say you’ve understood the instructions, and you can go ahead and rent one of our boats. Learn more about our boating policies.

Children as young as 16 can operate a WaveRunner. Children between the ages of 16 and 18 may operate a WaveRunner only under the constant supervision and eyesight of a parent or guardian.
